Exercise 8 .English Group There's a report from McKinsey about trend technologies that must be watch in order to apply them in nowdays organizations.
Each team must find this report (listen the podcast) and consider at least two specific trends giving examples to illustrate their implementation.

Summary
This trend consists in automating tasks and processes like forecasting and supply chain technologies; systems for enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and HR; product and customer databases; and Web sites.
Applied in
The first and best example is that of Fedex, an American company (of which we can have a good commercial found in the movie “Alone in the world” from Tom Hanks) which delivers article to customers, providing information on the current situation of the article, on an automated way. This method, not requiring personals to update these informations, has a very low cost for a very high result: The client satisfaction and fidelity increase.
Nowadays, many companies follow these steps, providing very dynamic websites for the customers.

Summary
It consists in selling accumulating pools of data captured in a number of systems within large organizations or pulled together from many points of origin on the Web in order to make new information-based business opportunities.
Applied in
Airline tickets are now more clearly explained, and the prices get lower, thanks to some web-sites which take care of comparing the prices of tickets from different companies. I
For my part, I’ve experienced this just yesterday to buy some tickets. And that kind of website helped me reduce the cost of my tickets of almost 50%.
You can also find this kind of information on stocks: when you need an article, you can compare its price, the time of delivery and of course the clients’ satisfactory comments.
Market’s fluctuation is also exposed to this.
