What is operations Management?
we´ve been investigating on the internet and after reading "AN INTRODUCTION TO OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT" we have created a Powerpoint presentation for the class.

Exercise 1. Propose 2 problems to the class and try to solve at least two more that the rest of the class has proposed

 

• Problem 1.Our company needs oil but Venezuela,our main oil source, has stopped delivering us oil because of a conflict between Hugo Chavez and the King of Spain

 

• Problem 2.Our bank doesn´t have enough money to pay all the people that is asking for their money

 

 

Exercise 2. Reasons why a domestic business operation to change to some form of international operation:

Reduce Costs (labor, taxes, tariffs, etc.) To move skilled workers for more valuable tasks.

 

We are a electronic devices company and we want to reduce costs,but we don´t have enough money to create a new factory in Taiwan.
We´ll try to merge with a taiwanese company that has a factory of washing machines that is is not working very well.
The Taiwanese company has a factory of washing machines .
The company accepts and we create a new company together MM&Co and we´ll provide them with Spanish engineers while they provide the factory with Taiwanese labour and raw materials.
To reduce taxes we create an office in Findland where we get the UE certificate and from Findland we distribute all our products all over the World.
